So,i am at yet another research conference it has dawned on me that hiv is not just a disease,it has become a profession.The professionalization of this disease does not include those who have this disease. ..sad but true.We still battle stigma & isolation .People Re still afraid of those inflicted. Knowledge is key as well as the inclusion of those that live each n everyday with hiv.I wish we could unionize,so we could grab ourpowerback for ourselves. Aids services organizations used to beall volunteer driven,& we should return to those roots. We need more harm reduction strategies asap...as well zs policy based on science not ideology .We must step uo to the challenge of doing for ourselves...
I a tribute my sobriety to the OAN & the OHTN.The leadership training started me on my healing journey, which still continues to this day & will to the day i depart this body.I must admit to being harsh on my ol bod.ahh life eh folks....live n learn n learn some more peace all!
